One product that appears to well stocked at most of major online shops including Woolworths (click here) is the Minky Double Line pictured here. It has two retractable washing lines coming from the same housing unit which is handy for fitting. All you will need is a second washing line pole. A couple of reviewers have said that you need to get a good tension on the line to stop it from drooping when you hang your washing on it.

Woolworths have it for £12 (+ £3.95 p&p) at time of writing but John Lewis have it for £9.95 (+£3.00 p&p or free on £30+ orders)

It’s part of their Vintage Enamel range and at time of writing is just £8.

There’s a hook on the handle so you can hang it to your washing line …but don’t leave it hanging out in all weathers!

Actually, we could do with something like this. We’re currently using an old tupperware bowl to store our pegs but it’d be easier with something hanging from the line.
